Larissa Lockshin
Iced Rowanberries

November 14, 2020

And as I was digging I felt it fall into my mouth,
An emerald,
Faceted, heavy in its silver shell As if fallen from the necklace of a woman far above me.

Tired fingers grasp the object but not its meaning; Just because it's raining jewels Doesn’t mean you should put away your umbrella.
